TWU offers education abroad opportunities in more than 25 countries around the world. Students have the option of participating in short-term programs led by TWU faculty or can study for longer periods of time through one of our affiliated partners. Education Abroad programs vary in length from as short as 7 days to as long as an academic year. Choosing the right program and location is one of the first steps in the education abroad process. Explore Faculty-Led Global Learning Courses
Short-term (1-3 week) programs led by our faculty with our students. The bulk of the coursework may take place during the regular semester with academic travel occurring at the end of the semester. For example, an in-class spring semester course and international group travel occurs in May. Alternatively, travel may occur during a break in the semester (ex. Spring Break). Many Faculty-Led Global Learning Courses are offered during the summer semester with the travel components occurring during that semester.

Harlaxton College, located in the English countryside, is a Victorian manor house owned by the University of Evansville and operated as a unique study abroad program for students around the United States. Students can apply to study at Harlaxton for both the fall and spring semesters, as well as a five-week summer program.

Explore Traditional Study Abroad Programs
In general, students participating in Traditional Study Abroad programs live in an international location and take coursework at a host university for a full semester, summer term (3-12 weeks), or entire academic year. Traditional Study Abroad programs range in cost, often determined by the location and length of study. Program costs will typically include tuition & fees, pre-departure support services, in-country academic and student support services, airport reception, and cultural activities. Accommodation costs are also generally included in program prices except for those located in the Pacific. Accommodation options may include dorm-style housing, apartments, or homestays. Additional inclusions such as meals and flights vary by program. Academic subjects vary by location, university, and host language proficiency.

Students will work directly with one of TWU's affiliated partners, who will connect with abroad-based businesses or organizations to customize a mutually beneficial internship. Students will receive mentorship and career development through their internship site, along with support services from the affiliated partner organization. International Internships range in cost and length. Program costs will typically include pre-departure support services, in-country academic and student support services, airport reception, cultural activities, and apartment-style accommodations. Internship placements and hands-on activities vary by location, skill and experience, local laws/industry compliance standards, and host language proficiency. Students may opt to earn academic credit for their internship experience at an additional cost for tuition and fees. International Internships may be combined with Traditional Study Abroad.

International Service Learning programs range in cost and length. Program costs will typically include pre-departure support services, in-country academic and student support services, airport reception, cultural activities, and apartment-style accommodations. International Service Learning activities vary by location, skill, and experience, local laws/industry compliance standards, and host language proficiency. Students may opt to earn academic credit for their international service learning experience at an additional cost for tuition and fees. There are many ways to engage in intercultural learning locally or online. These opportunities include virtual study abroad and international internships, TWU study away courses with local/domestic travel, and local/domestic travel focused on service learning or outdoor activity.
